The Diaz-Masvidal rematch has been postponed.
May 8, 2024, 5:30 a.m.

The rematch between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal has a new date and a new venue.

The second fight between the two former UFC stars was originally scheduled to take place on June 1 at the Kia Forum Arena in Inglewood, California, but has now been rescheduled due to other events taking place on that date. The boxing bout will now take place on July 6 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, multiple sources said.

It is reported that the main reason for the postponement of the fight was the reluctance of the organizers to hold the event on the same day as the UFC 302 tournament, in the main event of which Islam Makhachev will defend the belt in the lightweight division against Dustin Puryear.

Recall that in the first fight Masvidal defeated Diaz by technical knockout. The meeting took place in November 2019 at UFC 244.

April 23, 2024, 8:57 a.m.

Kamaru Usman, former UFC welterweight champion, has spoken out about Jake Paul's chances in MMA rules bouts against Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz. Kamaru noted that he wouldn't be surprised to see Jake win those confrontations.

"Honestly, it's a time where anything can happen. I don't really know what to think. To say that Jake doesn't have a chance is complete nonsense. Everyone has a chance. Like I said, the world has been turned upside down. It's not all that unrealistic. Everything can happen," - stated the fighter.

Recall, earlier Jake Paul called a whole list of MMA fighters, who, according to him, refuse to fight with him.

Now they will fight under boxing rules, which is different in that there are no elbows, knees and leg kicks. but Jorge is excellent with his hands. He is well prepared, and we are confident that we will win by knockout," said Hernandez

"Jorge is going to his ass". Diaz left the press conference before his fight with Masvidal
April 20, 2024, 1:54 p.m.

Former UFC fighter Nate Diaz in his typical style refused to promote his upcoming boxing bout with Jorge Masvidal. The fighters decided to do a tour before the fight, visiting Las Vegas, New York, Miami and Los Angeles. And that last conference was derailed by Diaz's unwillingness to communicate with Masvidal.

"That's it, sick of this shit. "I'm sick of this shit. I don't give a shit, I don't want no part of it. Jorge is going to fuck himself and his whole team. Battle of the eyes with yourself, asshole," - said Nate and left the event.

Recall, the first fight between Diaz and Masvidal took place in 2019 in the UFC, and then Jorge won. And the rematch under the rules of boxing will be held on June 1.
