Teofimo Lopez wants to fight Ryan Garcia at the new featherweight division
Teofimo Lopez (20-1, 13 KOs) is as charismatic and controversial a figure as Ryan Garcia (25-1, 20 KOs), but above all, both are excellent in the ring. And perhaps both will cross gloves soon.
"I want to face Garcia in September or December and it doesn't have to be in my category, I won't insist. I informed my promoter that we can fight within some contractual limits, I can go a little higher for him," said the current WBO super lightweight (63.5 kg) world champion.
"Garcia played it out well, he's cunning and knows how to outsmart others, congratulations. It's nice that now he's in the game too, it makes the situation even better and more interesting. But let's not forget Devin Haney's achievements and let's not diminish his merits," Lopez added.

Recall that earlier Garcia said that he will continue to compete at welterweight or even first middleweight, but added that for big fights he could go down to 65 pounds.
