Perez commented on the win over Nicolau

American UFC lightweight fighter Alex Perez shared his emotions after defeating Brazilian Mateus Nicolau in the main event of UFC on ESPN 55 in Las Vegas.

"I feel great, because nobody gave me a chance because I was coming back from losses to Davison, Pantoja and Mokaev. I had a lame camp before my last fight, but this time it went great even though I only had three weeks to prepare.

I'm ready to fight anyone and anytime. I always talk about how I don't get paid to sit on the couch. I only get paid to fight, that's why I'm always in the gym. I'm always training, helping others, working, I'm even criticized for putting out so much, but everything is for a reason, because I'm going to get a 50k bonus for this knockout," Perez said after the fight.
