It's official: Alvarez and Munguia will fight on May 4

Saul Alvarez, the reigning overall super featherweight champion of the world, will have his next fight against compatriot Jaime Munguia. It was officially announced today. The fight will take place on May 4 in Las Vegas. Canelo's confrontation with Munguia will be shown on PPV on both Amazon Prime and DAZN.It will also be broadcast on PPV.com. It's worth noting that DAZN will get a much smaller percentage of the PPVs sold.

The upcoming fight will be Alvarez's fourth defense of his absolute world title in the super middleweight division. Previously, he made three successful defenses, beating Golovkin, Ryder and Jermell Charlo. As for Jaime Munguia, he defeated Ryder in his last fight earlier this year.
